A fine day to have no rear brake.

Another challenging ride greeted 10 lucky cyclists this morning, and with thunderstorms being predicted, everyone was eager to get home before 2 o’clock.

It was a fast-paced procession of cyclists heading up the A6 to the climb out of Bonsal. Upon reaching the top, the riders were greeted with damp conditions, with low-level clouds creating damp conditions.

However, this was short-lived, and much to the surprise of the group, the clouds opened and sunshine greeted the group. It remained that way for the rest of the ride. I must admit we’ve had one heck of a September for the Saturday groups, and we were lucky with the weather again today.

The café was fantastic, with great proportions and quality of food. We also had a demonstration of bike maintenance as part of our stop. One of the group found that his disc pad had been in constant contact with the disc, so we decided to just remove it for the remainder of the trip. Remember dont touch that lever.

On the way back, heavy legs and tired legs formed and a natural split occurred, the elastic band was broken.  It was a great ride and a great route again. Well done all and #noonleftbehind.
