Due to the pandemic we have been unable to hold our usual annual awards evening. Therefore we took the opportunity at the quiz event last Saturday evening to make a presentation for the Clubpersons of the year 2021. The winners receiving a personalised club top and a beautiful bouquet of flowers in club colours.
Bill Cotton is one of our longest running members of Belper Bicycle Club and up until a couple of years ago was our club Chairman. Bill's passion for cycling, his knowledge and understanding is incredible. He is a true gentleman and we are VERY lucky to have him.
Maggie Cotton only took up cycling a fews years ago on meeting Bill but has embraced it with open arms. There is nothing she loves more than riding her tandem named 'Valei' together with Bill. Maggie is an incredible, beautiful person, inside and out.
Together, both Bill and Maggie are a true inspiration to us all. We absolutely love seeing you out on the social rides, especially together on a Tuesday evening with Valei. So long may it continue.
And so, our Clubpersons for 2021 are Bill and Maggie Cotton - Well and truly deserved! xxx
