Wow!! What an experience. We have completed the last leg (and most of us were definitely on our last legs!!). Again we had to dig deep and keep each other going (there were dark moments where we contemplated putting our bikes onto Ebay). Our end goal was in sight and some of the lovely downhills seemed to somehow reenergise the batteries. Our last starting point was the Invershin Hotel and Bunkhouse which was in a beautiful location and our host Cheryl looked after us with a cracking evening meal of Beef Goulash and a very welcome full English breakfast before we set off. Just getting onto the bikes on our last day had its own challenges and if there are any bike seat manufacturers who could work with hovercraft technology I certainly think there is a big market out there. With only just over 130 km and 1000 metres of climbing we edged gradually towards our goal. A very welcome cafe stop came at Dingwall - Batty's Baps did us proud and after much needed sustenance our destination was around the coast. After a brief stop at Cromarty Point our goal destination of Inverness came into view. We crossed the bridge and meandered down to the city before our final climb up to the castle. One item ticked off the bucket list. We had a few celebratory beers and pizza in the evening (congratulations to Colin the pool hustler!!) I feel very proud of everyone on this incredible trip for making it very special. Over and out - might have a well earned rest day 😴 👍❤🚴♂️
