Sailing along and two punctures.

On a pleasant Saturday morning, a group of riders hit the road. Although it was initially chilly, the weather soon warmed up as they began ascending a hill right from the start. Most of the group embarked on the long route, but it was great to see a few opting for the intermediate ride.

The day started chilly, but as the weather forecast predicted, it warmed to a healthy 19° C and new choice of café greeted me as we arrived after a long session in the saddle.  The Carsington Sailing Club was a great choice, with decent coffee, decent cake, and welcomed food.

Sitting outside in the warm weather, Matt shared his tales of woe, recounting how he had already experienced two punctures from a dodgy tire, causing delays during the intermediate ride. The group set off around the same time and wound their way through several lanes, enjoying the pleasant and quieter roads, steering clear of heavy traffic.

It was a fast route for all, although Hilly at  times,  and perhaps the last time we will see one of the main members of the club for a while as they head to the Lake District; I hope we see you back riding soon Carl with Belper BC.   Overall, it was a great day out as they head towards autumn. Good tie, good rides #nooneleftbehind
