A nice route today with less climbing than previous weeks. 10 riders set out in cool damp conditions in the valley on greasy roads with a lot of slippery leaves. The front group getting away on the hills but always waiting for the second group 🙂. Some of the lanes were very muddy with tractors bringing the soil off the fields. In places, these were really dangerous and made our bikes filthy - it was a relief to get onto main roads with traffic. We arrived at the cafe at similar times and it was warm enough to sit outside, with the sun making an appearance.
The route home was adjusted due to a closed road and a train formed on the A6 back to Belper. This wasn’t without incident though, we had a deliberate close pass that was very dangerous, however this was capture on camera and the videos will be sent to the Police.
There are 2 riders in front of the rider pictured below and the car driver continued to drift towards the kerb side.
